Finally, a sunny day!

So we finally had a sunny day that wasn't freezing.  Scott was home so we went to the park.  Seth's getting old enough to LOVE the slide.

We're not sure what he was pointing at the but the sunset was pretty!

Christmas Eve

So there's new fun on Christmas Eve of wrapping the last of the kids' gifts. This year wasn't so bad, but I see some long Christmas Eves in our future!

Seth alone

So Seth really enjoys his alone time when Aiden is at school. As you can see he's a bit of a monkey so we don't get to sit at the art table anymore.

Happy Birthday Jesus!

Our bible study group had a Christmas party that was a lot of fun!

Birthday Party!

So while they're young and don't know the difference, we get to have a duel birthday party! Seth loves balls, so that's the story with his. I asked Aiden what kind of cake he wanted, thinking he would want a robot or something neat like that. He says triangle. Yeah, that simple. I made other suggestions, but he was adamant that it should be a triangle. So I was delighted to be able to make something simple, and a triangle seemed appropriate for turning 3. I'm telling you he's an engineer in training and he doesn't even realize it yet.

So Aiden opened most of the presents, including Seth's but we convinced him to at least look in a bag pull something out.

You'll notice there are no messy cake pictures. That's because my kids are strange. Even at Aiden's 1 year birthday there were no messy cake pictures. My babies don't like solid food, and my toddler doesn't like to get messy. Go figure. OCD can be a powerful deterrent.

And the awesomeness of being in Houston is my friends can come over with their kids!

Snow? Really?

Alright,so we leave North Carolina and move back to Texas, southeast Texas, hot and humid Texas, and what happens our first winter? Yeah, snow. And not just any snow, it snowed in Houston before New York City had their first snowfall. I should be grateful because this cool weather is what kept the hurricanes away for our first hurricane season back in Texas!

I really never thought we'd have to use this massive coat of Aiden's on Seth in Texas. Wrong again!
