Galveston

This group of pictures had to be their own post.  This was our first trip to the beach with the boys, and despite the chilly weather (the only cool weekend in September) the boys absolutely loved the beach.  Seth may have been near hypothermia when we finally took them out of the water.  You can see the progression of playing in the sand/mud in their clothes to finally being changed into their swim suits.  I thought Aiden would not like the icky-ness of the sand since he doesn’t like getting dirty, but he couldn’t get enough of it!  Thank you Kristen for inviting us!

Sorry there were so many pics, but be happy that I only posted a small fraction of what we actually took.  It was an awesome trip.  I can’t believe we almost turned around because of the weather.  It poured on the way down there, but despite the sky and gulf being the same color, the rain held off and our boys got a wonderful first trip to the beach.

I asked Aiden later that week if he wanted to go back and of course he said yes.  Then I asked him what he would think of a beach with white sand and blue water, and he seemed confused.  It’s good we started with the beach that gives low expectations, although a trip to Florida will be in our future!

Long Lost Pictures

Yes, I’m finally updating!

Yeah, this was during the salmonella egg scare, and yes that is uncooked brownie batter.  I’m such a good mom.

“Momma” is written by Aiden just below the horizontal line.  Somewhere else is a picture of when he wrote his name, but that was during my blog hiatus.

Aiden’s first day of Preschool.

Seth loved the decor at this mini golf place for our friend Jacob’s birthday party.  Aiden actually played the golf, not well of course, but I was so proud that he followed through on every hole.

Anna took great care of Seth.

Seth’s first day of Mother’s Day Out.

These were taken at our home group bible study.  First we found Joanna pulling Seth around, then Natalie and Aiden had to have a turn.

This picture is funny because all those stickers were on my leg, and when I took them off, Seth just scowled at me.  So I put them all on his arm, and this was the look I got.

Aiden got his first driving lesson.

Tailgating at with our Sunday School.

This is the approval I got on my new rug.  They were rolling all over the place.

 CIMG1166

This is a common occurrence at our house.  Seth will find any shorts laying around and put them on his head.

First leaf piles of the season.  Seth helped by moving the leaves out of the pile, and Aiden actually helped with the bagging.

 CIMG1184

This is how I found Seth after bath one night.  I think it was still on a Disney channel show and that short with that Warehouse Mouse was on.  We don’t watch the show that he is on, but Seth absolutely loves that mouse.  I was so happy his hands were strategically placed.

Aiden’s Halloween parade at school.   Poppa and Nonna came over to see.

No, they’re not related at all.  When Seth is older I’ll show him this picture so he’ll know what he’ll look like in his 60’s.

Our little spider and robot.  Seth really got the hang of trick or treating.  He wanted to go inside the first house we went to, but by the end of the night, he wouldn’t let go of his pumpkin to be put in his carseat.  Aiden hit the jackpot and we have more candy than we could possibly eat all year.
